Nice group from Sgt. Earl L. Henry, HQ Company, 2nd Engineers includes olive drab wool and olive drab cotton summer issue tunics, each with "US" and Engineer discs (pinback on the summer issue coat), attractive applied and embroidered 2nd Engineers shoulder insignias with embroidered Indian head on white star applied to black wool felt Engineer castle background. These also have Sergeant rank chevrons, and one overseas service chevron on each. M1912 wool tunic has a few scattered small moth holes, nothing significant or detractive. Group also has Sgt. Henry's 1918 pattern olive drab wool overcoat with the same shoulder insignia, rank chevron, and overseas chevron. Also includes Sgt. Henry's US M1917 box respirator with soft hose and stiff mask, complete with instruction card and anti-dimming stick; dark khaki canvas "SIMMONS 1917" dated carrier. Includes his 1917 dated mess kit, olive drab wool overseas cap with Engineers disc, and a worn but displayable pair of M1912 olive drab wool breeches. Sgt. Henry has his initials in the summer issue tunic and his complete name inscribed in the overcoat and M1912 wool tunic.
