My grandfather's fading memory was known to cause misidentification of one or two photos. He thought this photo was taken near Chateau Thierry. Drahtverhaue is German for wire entanglements. This photo is probably taken in the Champagne Region in France — perhaps near Blanc Mont Ridge. It was part of a postcard set that he acquired during the time on the Rhine River at Engers.
