Paul E. Blust, New Orleans, was a private in Company C, 2nd Engineers, at the fight near Medeah Farm, October 9, 1918. A comrade lay wounded and helpless in the very heart of the enemy’s unremitting fire, but Blust determined not to abandon him. So he crawled forward while the machine guns played upon the path and brought his fellow soldier to safety. See Appendix 2 |
