After the war, he returned to his small 40 acre family farm at Battleground, Indiana on State Hwy 43, 8 miles north of Lafayette, Indiana where he built and operated a gasoline filling station until his death in 1941. He also built several cabins on his property along the state highway and rented them out to travelers. He married and had 2 fine sons and a daughter. |
